Home health care services are advisable if you think the patient is not comfortable being left alone, there is a danger of falling, the patient may forget to take medicines at the right time, or if there is nobody to take care of your family because you have to work, either because the patient’s doctor advised doing so. Inclusive services generally cover:

  • Meal Preparation
  • Personal Hygiene Assistance
  • Assistance with Mobility
  • Assistance in Going Up and Down the Stairs
  • Medication Monitoring and Reminders
  • Help with Bathing and Showering
  • Helping the Client Get Dressed
  • AM and PM Care

Most patients favor the informal method of home health care services because apart from the fact that they do not have to pay more for the services of professional care, they also have the likelihood to have the company of their choice. In case they would need the help of nurses and doctors, their services will be taken care of and be paid by their insurance company if they have one.

Compared to the institutions of nursing homes, home health care services are affordable. That’s why most patients, especially the elderly, prefer to stay in their homes while they are recovering from their illnesses.

Home health care services are the best route to take, especially if the patient’s condition is not serious.
